Daydreamer's Dream

Daydreamer's Dream

On a night such as this,
no wind in the air.
A thought with no reason,
A night I would share.

An event with no meaning,
or so it would seem.
did cause me to meet,
the most beautiful dream.

The next day I awoke,
no thought that could compare.
to the dream that I met,
on the night I did share.

The day went by fast,
with one single thought.
To see this great dream,
again I did not.

No name to remember,
a search to partake.
the name of this dream,
would haunt my mistake.

The night came on quick,
a knock at my door.
How happy I was,
when the dream graced my floor.

The feelings I’ve felt,
since the first night we met.
Only a lady,
could produce this onset.

The dream that I speak of,
I hope you can see.
Better than a dream,
a lady to be.
